The Atem suit has been Alpinestars tried and tested one-piece leather suit for; now; four iterations. What that means is the qualities and performance of Alpinestars Atem V4 Suit have been improved; revised and built on to make another excellent racing suit; comparable to one the pros use.
The Atem V4 is a one-piece suit with AAA CE certification; the highest classification available; so this suit will protect you through a hell of a lot – though that is no reason to chance anything. The 1.3mm leather of the suit is highly protective while being lightweight and comfortable. As with all leather; it will feel tight and snug and a little bit stiff out of the box; but as you wear it; it will break in giving you a personalised and comfy fit. Abrasion-resistant stretch fabric is placed in specific areas to give you a better range of movement and ease some of the stiffness that comes with leather.
The Atem V4 suit is fitted with integrated GP-R armour on the shoulders; elbows and knees for both impact absorption and abrasion resistance; and if you are after even more protection there is a specially designed space for a KR-CiR chest protector and for a snap-on Nucleon KR-R back protector.
